A typical night at work for me. I have to be a man of many hats, and go through a very wide range of emotional
states and attitudes in the business of running an exotic dance venue.
Some might consider it a lot of work, and it is, but I wouldn't trade doing it for anything in the world. You meet so
many interesting people walking the room, seeing to their enjoyment of the shows, the drink, and the atmosphere.
Then you can flip a switch and have to be a boss to the bartenders and barbacks, the bouncers, and the dancers
themselves, sometimes requiring a firm hand and sometimes requiring a roll of the eyes at some of the ridiculous
things that can happen.
There's also quit a bit of "running the business" that needs to be done, paperwork, counting tills, seeing to product
ordering and stock levels, but even that can be fun in some weird ways.
But the most important thing I've found in keeping up with the pace of it and not letting it drive you mad is to just
flop back and enjoy the fruits of your labors. I can be routinely found on the floor, between putting on one of the
hats I have to where, sitting in a booth and watching the show. I've got my favorites, of course, but you won't catch
me telling anyone who those might be.
I've been watching this artist for quite some time and I absolutely adore their style. When the chance to grab
something came up, I just HAD to get something that was a bit more "slice of life" and I think they captured me
perfectly.
Absolutely LOVE their work with varying emotions and I hope you do too.
