Very awesome work, man! I love the contrasting colors, here: the semi-muted lime-green contrasts really well with your sona's jet-black, and the dark-brown BG works really well with the subject, quite a good choice there. Also, the shading is fantastic: you were able to keep him looking very black, but still with plenty of detail in the fur showing through. Very cool piece, in my opinion, and quite a neat character. And, of course, dragon/bird-of-prey combo = awesome. At least, I think that's what he is. If I'm wrong, please don't smite me!! Eep!

To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what the differences are either since I never used elements. Though I think every version from Photoshop 7 and higher is somewhat identical with a few more "useless" options. (they're not actually useless, I just never use them myself :P)
