I feel like the lines are less sketchy than your usual style, and the shading is definitely more cel-shadey, which I think you did in a really neat way! because your usual fur texturing is still there in places, but it's contrasted with those nice, big white spaces, and that lighter gray is used really nicely here :) most of your pieces seem to lean towards very realistic (which is totally cool, not trying to say anything bad about that style!) but this one just looks really sharp and clean.
I can see where the stylization of the character itself plays a part in that, but something about the lines and the shading just makes it feel like it came from a different place than the other things you post :)
RAMBLY I'M SORRY

no, thank you for explaining. i'm a big fan of realistic stuff, which is why i do it so much. it's also good practice to be able to do more stylized things. i guess i could say it came from a more experimental/who cares type place, since it was a free gift, and also a place i feel the character comes from. it'd probably be good for me to mix it up a bit more in terms of how i am drawing... i just don't have a lot of time to make a lot of art.
that makes sense! a lot of times I love it when an artist just kind of goes "eh, who cares really, let's just do it" and see what comes out. sometimes it's a looser, sketchier feel, which I really think leaves a lot of the life in a piece, and which is why I like your usual style, too! those kinds of pieces have a lot of movement and like... a "pulse" in them, kinda? where you can tell a lot of work went into it, and it shows in the features of the art itself.
I feel like since that's your usual style, the reverse came out in this one, which I really like and which ultimately had the same effect: there's a liveliness to it that's different from the liveliness of what you usually post -- it's sharper. I'm not totally sure how to explain it, it was just very striking and fun to see n_n
