My Rainbow Dash x Soarin nextgen. He has gone through quite a few iterations and adjustments, including name changes, but I think I've finally settled for how I'd like him to look. Originally his name was Prism Flash, when I had him pegged to be a real speedracer like his mama, but his design eventually evolved into a long distance flier with large, seabird-like wings that enable him to steadily and swiftly fly long distances without landing that other pegasi would have trouble with.

Personality:

Prism Blazer is a very relaxed pony when it comes to most things, save for punctuality, both regarding everyday life and his job as a mailpony. He despises showing up to a place too early or at all late and projects this on other ponies, become irritable when others are late. His stress over this punctuality has actually led to Prism worrying himself sick before and greatly concerns his parents.

He suffers from severe bouts of insomnia, come about from screwing himself up by staying awake for days to ensure a proper delivery time in his mailpony duties. Due to this Prism has days he looks quite peppy and upbeat, yet other days where he looks like he got kicked in the face by a buffalo.


Trivia:

Prism's wing are very wide, his wingspan a time and a half the size of the average pegasus, but are more angular and knife-like, like a large seabird's, allowing him to better catch updrafts and use them to glide for long periods of time. His wings offer less in the way of speed and more in the way of endurance and sturdiness. As a foal he kept his wings folded tightly to himself for a long period of time, greatly surprising his mother one day when he finally decided to spread them to full, which was large even for his age.
