I would love some sushi right now, wouldn't you??

Vrghr stopped by a new (for this wuff) Sushi place in Colorado Springs: Kura Japanese Restaurant. A sushi, teppanyaki grill, Tapas, and Japanese food place. Over 100 types of sushi, sashimi and rolls. A HUGE number of other dishes.
All of them were beautifully presented. So elegant and lovely! And the flavor was fantastic!
Vrghr started his night with Miso soup and seaweed salad. The Tempura Lobster with Wasabi Aoli followed, along with wuff's hand picked selection of a dozen different types of nigiri sushi.
Vrghr was lucky enough to arrive for their "happy hour". And though they do have a bar, this "happy hour" includes many selections from the appetizers, sushi, and entree items, all at significant discounts. No Sushi place is exactly "cheap", at least not where wuff's dined, but it was definitely less expensive that Vrghr had expected.
This is the first time wuffy had ever seen Tempura lobster. And MY was it good! The lobster tail pictured is just decoration. The meat was removed in nice sized chunks, battered with a light and tasty tempura batter, and deep fried. Delicious, especially with that Wasabi Aoli. The meat was tender and flavorful, the coating crispy-crunchy, and the dip a wonderful combination of sweet and spicy. Vrghr suspects there was sweet Mirin in there, along with the oil, egg, a bit of sliced seaweed, and of course, the pungent wasabi. YUM! Nicely balanced!
You can count of wuff making more visits here. They have an enormous selection in their menu, plus the teppanyaki grill, so wuffy can count on plenty of variety to tempt his tastebuds!
Wuffy's buds over in sushiology sushiology would love this place! For those who really like sushi, the restaurant has a video here that showcases a few of their lovely creations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTjTIX4vVTM
