Well... I finally went and did it... I got myself a new car. I figure it was about high time for one. My old car on the right is a 2000 Ford Focus. I had it paid off in 2005 and haven't had a car payment in 4yrs. Now I have one again... That I'm not so looking forward to. In the end I got a fair deal.
I had my roomie with me there as my "wingman" to help curb any real big sales pitches. The car I got myself is a 2010 Honda Insight. It is a hybrid and I went for it as it was less than a Toyota Prius, and only slightly more than say a Honda Civic or most other car in that same class like another Focus, which were with cruise control and other features I like. I wasn't exactly prepared to buy, but they did offer a good deal and later in the year with higher gas prices this car will be higher in demand.
I love the color and plan on keeping this car like my previous one for the long haul. I'm gonna have to get used to how the windshield is in the back as that is the only weird thing about it. The car doesn't have navigation as I have an iPhone for that, and USB integration for ipod. All in all I am happy with this car.
Farewell Focus, and thanks for all the good times! (and fish!)
Photo courtesy of my iphone, and sorry it was dark and I'll take better photos with my Lumix camera during the day.
EDIT: Fixed picture, though the car is now gone... Forgot something and now have the pic fixed.

Nice. The Insight design has changed a bit in the last few years. I remember when they looked like weird alien cars from the future. It was probably a good idea to wait a few models years for them to kick the bugs out on it. Hopefully my next car will be a hybrid too, but I'm not looking to buy for a long time since I'm still paying for this one.
Yay for Hondas. :) That's a nice car. Hondas have one of the best cars in the market. I have a 2004 Honda Accord and it runs great. Great gas mileage, goes pretty fast, and is well protected against anything. And every single autopart store and garage, local and chain, can fix them with no problems. :) I love my car.
Sweet that you have a Honda, too. Great choice, dude. THough, the Ford is a good car, too. But, Hondas are better than Fords. :)

The newer vehicle has a better and newer look to it on the surface, more modern lines and flow. Up here going with new energy source vehicles is a smart move considering that summer driving season is approaching. Gas companies are steadily raising prices again and its up to $5.00 a gallon in my area again.
Eh... mine started stuttering around the 40mph mark... Took it to Ford and did a diagnostic to see what was going wrong. There were a few things that were going to go eventually... a "weeping" water pump, among other things. What caused the stuttering was a coil pack... Fixed the stuttering, but when the rear passenger door got stuck in the locked position and couldn't open at all... I was like...

Nope... It was the electronic locks... For a little bit it "kinda" worked, then eventually just got stuck in the locked position and couldn't open the door. In the end the car served me well. I did "drive it into the ground" as it were. Glad I had that car, it was fun, but this new one I'm definitely loving.
