Finally a new full background drawing with Shadi! :D In case you don't know, she's a little girl who dresses up as a boy and survives by stealing and begging in the slums of the city of Sirath... and I freaking love drawing her, she's just adorable.
Drawing a full cityscape was quite a challenge (I've never done anything like this before), but it was really fun to make even if it took me ages! ^^
The jumping pose looks unfortunately quite "static", but despite that I'm VERY happy by the final result!

Good frigging otter gawds..........
I can feel the heat of the setting sun. I can smell the scents of Sirath below (the foul, the sweet, the smokey), and smell too the fresh salt, dusk, ocean wind blowing in. The dusk wind bringing blessed relief to the City; and too a young feline ruffian. I imagine she's returning from a days hunt in the City to her safe space, to feed (meagerly) and rejoice in having survived another day.

Very nice character and once again awesome image overall. Don't know if you are fully satisfied with the background but to me at least it does look damn good! At least a really nice learning experience? As usual the details here are all the way great and this image does totally make the whole artwork seem that scene is alive :)
Until she was a child there wasn't much of a problem, but now that she's growing there might be problems. ^^ She can conceal her gender quite well, she looks like a young-feminine boy, but those of her species can still smell when she's in heat.

Hmm. I suppose your races have a very dampened sense of smell then. I imagine anthros with better senses of smell being able to easily tell gender without involving their 'cycle' or arousal. Simply an easy acknowledgement. Any gender dimorphism would be purely for mating rituals or biological requirements (like how human breasts are speculated to be a pillow for the child while nursing, due to the upright nature,) rather than identification purposes. Though I can't think of much that isn't cultural when it comes to human evolution and doesn't fit those two categories. Mostly the second one, since mating ritual stuff kind of goes in both directions. *rambles...*
