Why do I cry?
Is my sadness that apparent?
I don't want to be alone anymore!
But I have to be,
Because life is unfair and unforgiving...

Why can't I find what I'm looking for?
Why must they all turn their backs and walk away?
Am I not supposed to be loved?
I know I'm not perfect!
Can't I be loved for who I am?

Why must I be hurt?
So you take pleasure in my pain?
My heart aches for something.
My fear of being alone takes me over,
And I don't want it to.

Why must you be amused?
As I lay here crying,
Wishing to be accepted,
To find what I've always wanted?
Just go away.
