Just playing around with Cinema 4D. I like it! Very cool and easy to use hair and fur effects.
I know the animation on this is wonky, It was about playing with the fur, not the anim ^^

Wow! I will do that!! Thank you very much for this information. I looked at Maya and decided that it was waaaayyyyyy too time consuming for a part time amateur artist like me. I never would have guessed that anything 3D could be both powerful and easy - let alone produce luscious fur!
I enjoy doing photomorphs. Do you know whether Cinema 4D can use a set of input photos shot from various angles to modify or create a character?

This is what I mean by a photomoroh:

It starts from a photograph, but can end up just about anywhere desired.

Cinema 4D is a commercial modelling 3d application that supports rigging and animation and stuff and so far seems a lot more intuitve than Maya, but, I don't think it has any support for photomorphing or for building a character from a 2d image at different angles. That second option may be possible, but I've not looked into it yet.
Good luck, and if you try it I hope it works out well for you.
