Done back in 2016

This is a character that I’ve had for a while now and I finally managed to get some proper art done for him.

I really love the nocs; a race developed by Ayanaki, and designed Finnegan a bit ago, but I’ve had a second one in mind, so here is Wave.
I’ve shown off a few sketches and design bits of Wave before, but I finally got a drawing done that I was really happy with.

Wave is kind of a mysterious noc; he was adopted from a shelter with no real idea of where he came from. The only thing he had was a strange ear tag with ‘W4-V3′ engraved on it, so he was given the name Wave.
The name is very appropriate because Wave loves to swim and hang out on beaches, so much that he kind of became a life guard helper for local beaches and swimming pools.

The sandals are a weird thing; originally they were just kind of silly and just for fun, but I kinda played around with the idea and just ran with it.
His back paws are damaged and he doesn’t really walk well on some surfaces, so they’re used to help protect his pads.
I have to thank Ayanaki for her help with his colors as well, I kinda wanted to give him a different look from the others, and I really liked the idea of the blue-green scheme for him and his aquatic nature.
