Salutations, cricket-inc! I'm really glad to hear that you're back! I don't think I've gotten the opportunity to comment on your work before, but I do want to say I think one of your artistic strong points in your earlier work is how well you convey depth with clear lines and I'm really glad to see you haven't lost that touch. Even without including shading or other effects this image still has a nice perspective.

I also like the character design. The loose clothes and backpack are very much within the general Pokemon style, and Ruben really looks like he could show up in the anime or the games. You did a good job making the character look unique without over-complicating him.

One thing, though: is that a premier ball he's holding? I'd never thought I'd see a premier ball look cool...

On a completely different note, I think I first found your work because someone else had +fav'ed one of your one page comics (I believe it was the "Daisy's Surprise" one XD). It was nice to see you mention them in your journal; even if you don't plan on doing more anytime soon I still think it's something you have a lot of talent for.
