Contrary to belief, black people in the 30s and 40s actually enjoyed that film, and the fact that Bob Clampette was a fan of Jazz, so he hired black musicians to do the voices and music. It was deemed "offensive" due to the changing attitudes of the Civil Rights movement during the 60s.
