Bringing home Gabe from school today, he seemed quiet. Well, I mean quietER then usual. I know he seems like a typical loner, and that makeup he wears all the time under his eyes doesn't help. But still, I've known him long enough to tell when he's different from usual.

Something seemed to be bothering him. Honestly the only conclusion that made sense was that whole incident with the book last night. But he didn't really wanna talk about it, other then telling me he wanted to deal with it much slower then how he went about it last night.

I wonder if I should just tell him to get rid of that thing, but I doubt he'd even listen to me if I did. Plus, he most certainly is smart enough to realize danger and not go so far as he did last night. Unless something more major happens, I'm honestly going to let him take this new hobby of his at his own pace. I trust him that much.

When we came back to the apartment, he headed straight to his room and closed the door behind him. Wanting to try one last time, I spoke up enough for him to hear.

"Hey! You sure you're feeling ok?"

He didn't answer at first. The question seemed to hang in the air until I finally got a response.

"Yeah... I'm doing just fine..."
