Got a URL so we can find out more about Amiga?

I was looking on the website for my zoo, and I didn't find anything about Amiga specifically. All I could find was just basic pony ride info and some detailed info about our Welsh pony, Indigo.

I am getting a painting by Amiga as a gift for my sister-in-law for her anniversary. I will be posting a copy of it when I get it. So, at least you can see what she is capable of doing.
A month or so ago, she did a painting in orange and blue and we sent it to Denver to be signed by the Denver Broncos. It will be auctioned off and the money will go back into the zoo.

THAT is incredibly cool. :) I have a horse that liked to get his nose muddy and then rub it aaginast pages of a sketch book. he'd wiggle wiggle wiggle.. then stop. i'd flip the page tothe next one and he' dpush nose to it and wiggl wigglw wiggle then stop.. seemed to like having a fresh page to snout against.

Maybe you should offer hom some nontoxic paints and a paintbrush. :3

well, I THINK so, but honestly, I have no idea how to get him to hold the brush. he just.. spits it out.. :)
and he's a foodasaurus so if I sweeten it with molasses or something, he'd probably just eat the brush. :P

I'll have to find out how Beth got Amiga to keep the brush in her mouth. I do know that she only holds the brush for a few strokes at a time before Beth takes it out of her mouth. And, I'm sure, she used food as reinforcement.

Interesting! Yeah, I would LOVE to hear details on how the trainer got her to do that! Thanks!

More horses should be given this opportunity.

I think the problem is that (1.) their trainers may not realize they can do this and (2.) it takes quite a bit of time and patience to train them. But the end result is so wonderful!
