Minecraft: Zergling Nincada for Kindred Legacy 1.1
It took over three years since it was first modeled but Zergling Nincada finally made its official entry into a public version of my Minecraft modification, Kindred Legacy. it has probably had the most unfortunate history in getting into the mod. Three times it was added but then cancelled. Once for the 1.6.4, 1.7.2, and 1.7.10 versions of PokemonMD.
Zergling Nincada and Raptor Zergling Nincada were always intend to be released as a pair. The third entry, Crackling Nincada was created a bit later. Around the time Zergling Nincada was first modeled, there was also a Baneling Nincada model created too. That mob has not been worked on for reentry due to how difficult it was to animate.
One thing to note on the Nincada's run animations is that I tried to give them a sort of hop or bounce like they do in the Starcraft II cinematics showing them. Not sure if I was that successful but I did give it a try. ^^;
Being a space mob and my deep love for the Minecraft mod, Galacticraft which was recently updated to Minecraft 1.11.2, the current version my mod is updated to, I have worked on compatibility with the Nincadas there.
If you were to download the current public version of my mod and travel to the Moon in Galacticraft, several of my mobs spawn there but they suffocate because of it being space. Kindred Legacy 1.2 will fix this by one, removing the mobs not intended to be there and two, making the Pokezerg Swarm able to survive there.

By the way, this mod can pretty much be slapped in with almost any other mod and give a good experience. There's an NPC creating mod that allows you to use the creatures, use their sounds or other sounds, customize their size, capablilities. weaknesses, what they say in response to what action, etc. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer the option to program complex behaviours and attack actions (actions like casting complex spells, etc) as far as I'm aware of, but there's much fun to be had there regardless. You can position sentries, have a small army follow you, create enemies, create superbeings that destroy half of the universe in response to seeing a silverfish, whatever floats your boat.
I've had the most fun using this mod in combination to Kindred Legacy, but that's probably because I'm forever cursed to be a tinkerer, forever mucking about aimlessly and not using any mod for its original purpose.
Lol.

No it is a stand alone. The Galacticraft compatibility is in the next update and even then, it merely adds content if you happen to have it installed. It won't be dependent. I'm gonna try my hardest to make sure there are no dependencies when I release that update.
The next update I learned how to make a config file after all these years so it will give the player more control, such as changing spawn rates and switching off dimensions they spawn in for other mods.
Kindred Legacy is mostly about the mobs but it does include some items, most notably Bow of Kindred weapon. There is an instruction manual link on the forum page which you can download from DeviantArt and look through. ^^
For a list of mods, it would just be a matter of personal preference. I could list the mods I personally play with if you wish.

Well, for the current public version of Kindred Legacy 1.1.1 I think it was, the mods I use are:
Not Enough Items
Extra Utilities 2
Iron Chest
Xaeros Minimap
Backpacks! (I think that's the name)
I do have a mod called Steve's Carts Reborn added but I haven't used it. I don't know if it works. The mod is so Diamond heavy and my Diamonds are used on other mods' things.
For Galacticraft, the current public version of Kindred Legacy is broken with it so I can't really recommend it.
The last mod I play with and probably adds the most to the game besides Galacticraft is Biomes'o'plenty. It makes the world a lot more interesting and Kindred Legacy is built to have compatibility with it.
That above is at least the list of mods I play with. ^^ Galacticraft and Kindred Legacy are broken together but that was because Galacticraft was released for 1.11.2 AFTER the last public version I release so I wasn't prepared for it.
