Bio: Lar is a teal Latios with two diamonds on his wings and large ears. Lar is rather slow for a Latios due to the Diamonds. His ears reach up almost a foot in length. He has little attack power but has decent defences.

He wields one of the many Diamond Spear's in the Pokemon world and is therefore one of the many guardians that exist. Beforehand he lived in a far-off region near Orre. It was a quiet region and generally unknown of.

Note: The Diamonds are in the center of his wings, but I like to have them always visible when I draw him.

Lar is generally nice and friendly, but he can be rather oblivious and naive at times. He used to have a short temper, usually having verbal fights with Crescere or Genevieve. It wasn’t until later on his journey he’d learn to open up to others more.
He can be unsure what to do in some situations and needs to rely on others to decide for him or aid him in any way.

Now Lar enjoys a simple life in Sonnige. He owns a house right at the beach front with Solana, needing to be near the shore where his Guardian Shrine lays hidden. He enjoys exploring the island, his prior journey opening his eyes to a world he always wanted to see more of.

He’s made many friends in Sonnige and tries to spend time with all his friends as much as possible. As a job he generally helps everyone else out. Kind of like... temporary employment, or quests that involve mundane tasks! It’s not much but he enjoys helping.

Lar is a big food lover too, and you’ll find him in a different restaurant every time he goes out to eat. He’s a huge sushi lover and can’t resist a good curry or bowl of soup. His fave treat is Mint-choc chip ice cream.

He really gets along with Mélanie a lot as well, as the two have both experienced a countryside upbringing. Mélanie might have a crush on him.

Oddly enough, Lar struggles to get along with other Lati's easily. He's only befriended a handful of Lati's, one being a shiny Latias who likes to pester him.

Another weird thing for Lar is his intense attraction to fairy types. There’s just something about them that he loves.

Story: Lar lived and grew up in a region called Minera till he has about 19. He lived with his mother in the countryside, just outside a small village. Lar was studying to become a researcher, inspired by his mothers many expeditions and stories about the world and the Pokemon she’s met. His mother would leave to travel when he was around 16, so he had lived by himself for a few years, knowing how to take care of himself. Life was quite lonely for him though, and he wished to seek that same thrill of exploration that his mother had.

One day after coming home from a long studying session, he’d experience a handful of events. While walking home he found a Gliscor- aka Crescere in a field near his home, lying dazed beside a glowing object. This was a Diamond Spear, and it latched onto Lar as its new guardian! After being knocked out from the sudden rush of energy, or possibly a hit to the head, he was taken to Johto, where his adventures would start. Unable to say no if he wanted to be rid of the Diamonds responsibilities, he agreed to go, with a blend of excitement and worry in his mind.

During his journey, he’s made many friends and rivals, and learned a lot more about being a Pokémon as well as a Guardian. This is where he would befriend Crescere, Solana and Genevieve, who stuck by him all the way. Other friends left for their own adventures, while Sharna kept following Lar like the true rival that she is.

Upon succeeding their main mission, they were tasked with finding a new Guardian shrine near Hoenn to keep balance in check. They ended up all moving to a semi-tropical island, known as Luani Island, where the group would settle down for an indefinite amount of time.

The old Guardian Shrine Lar now uses is just outside of Sonnige City, in the lush greenery by the shore. This shrine had been left abandoned since the island worshipped Zygarde as its saviour, and the island has been protected ever since.

A cave lay nearby too for Regice to take refuge in. Regice remains in the cave and protects the shrine. Even in the tropical weather, Regice can withstand the heat.

Lar would much later in life desire to explore and adventure again as friend after friend started to leave Luani Island. As the Guardians role started to become less prevalent, he’d use the opportunity to leave for another grand adventure, all by himself.

The Guardian’s Role:
What is a Guardian? What is a Diamond Spear?
There are many Guardians across the Pokemon world, each with their own Diamond Spear and a small shrine dedicated to the Diamond wielder. Lar has met a handful of these Guardians during his journey.

Long ago when the world was first created, before Arceus’s ’Jewel of Life’ and the Life Energy that Perfect Zygarde existed, there were the Diamond Spears and its Creator. The Diamonds are fragments of the creator, given to worthy Pokemon to aid in spreading energy and life to the world.

When a Guardian slots their Diamond into a shrine, it charges the earth with a healing pulse. It can give life to the environment, cure mystical area effects and most importantly prevent or weaken environmental disasters, such as earthquakes and tsunami’s.

Over time however, with Zygarde’s superior power to cleanse and revive the world on a much grander scale, the Guardians started to fade in time, and are now seen as more of a last resort.

Despite the Guardians decline, the Diamonds themselves are incredibly powerful and shouldn’t ever fall into the wrong hands. Luckily not many know of the Diamonds powers and overlook them as nothing but a treasure to be sold. As well as the Diamonds have a mind of their own, and will not fuse with a Pokemon they deem unworthy.

The Diamond Lar wields was once owned by a heroic Latios, whom vanished after failing to protect his shrine and the Regice that accompanied it.

Relationships:
With Lar being the main man of the... entire cast really, he’s interacted with most of the cast. So yes, its long. Feel free to skip over this part!

. His closest friends are Crescere, Solana, Mélanie, Lorenzo, Chiyer, Vanity, Fwolo, Narir, Bayuki, Bellaria and Genevieve. These are characters he’s spent the longest time with.

. He had a crush on Solana for a while, until it started to shift to Mélanie. Solana never really had the same feelings for him, and in the end discovered she was a lesbian.

. Crescere is considered his best BEST friend, since they’ve been together the longest. They’re very silly together.

. Lorenzo, Chiyer and Vanity are his 3 male buds he hangs with the most. Together they form the ‘Big Ear Bros’ club, which was Lorenzo’s idea~ Crescere wants in too.

. He mistook Vanity for a girl and they smooched- he was a-ok with that tho and sees Vanity as a great friend... with benefits.

. Bayuki has a huge fukking crush on Lar and deeply wishes they were together. Maybe tries a little too hard- Lar also really likes Bayuki’s mother Mekori-

. Lar likes Minoir and Vexa- he gets squished and played with by them a lot- more so Minoir.

. Bellanette was one of the first mons he met in Sonnige City after a very silly event that ended up turning Lar into an Igglybuff- Lar helps her out occasionally now with work and they’re quite close.

. He’s good friends with Bellaria, who takes a fascination in the Guardians, and also cos she and Solana get along super well. Also Crescere lives with Bellaria so it’s a nice lil group of 4.

. Mila is a good friend too. She sometimes likes to flirt with Lar. Their friendship is still building. He met Mila through Lorenzo and Narir. They live pretty close to each other so they visit each other often at least!

. Sharna is Lar’s rival- who followed him throughout his initial journey. Lar honestly finds her tiresome or just funny.

. Darkria was created from a corruption that overtook Lar, a being of pure darkness. She supposedly is based on his friend Aldwin, and Lar’s lewd dreams. Their relationship is a mess. They can’t get along despite Lar trying to feel for her, it’s a love hate friendship!

. Oli & Giza are still quite beastly, unable to speak and act feral. This Zweilous however took a huge liking to Lar solely because he’s a dragon. Sometimes they won’t let him go-

. He’s one of Karina’s gaming buds, since they have a similar taste for games. They don’t interact all that much else unless she’s dragging him off to play some Mario Kart.

. Lar has gotten into some situations with Petra’s gang. He’s had a few times with Petra, and actually gets along with Scarelle.

. Lar also befriends a Mareanie named Mirian. They’re internet friends, and would one day get to meet each other in person.

. Later on in life Lar befriends Tiara and Laurel in Startus City. He’s close to both of them, Laurel a little more cos lewds-

Attack info:

Icy Wind - A strange move that Latios cannot normally learn. This was the second attack he learned. Standard ice attack Lar emits from his mouth. Has a short range but slows the opponent if hit.

Zen Headbutt - Lar rams into the foe headfirst, focusing psychic energy to a pinpoint. Lar's lack of speed makes this an easy move to dodge, unless struck by surprise.

Ice Breaker - Lar's main move. His right hand/ paw collects air around it and freezes, forming a large Mega Lati paw made of solid ice. The wing jutting out acts as both a streamline for faster swings, and a blade to catch foes if the punch misses.

This move is unique, as it is super effective against Ice types. Ice Breaker can smash ice with little to no effort. Only the toughest of ice, such as a Glacier can resist a full punch.

This move started as Ice Punch for Lar, and it developed more and more as his journey went on.

Empty Slot - A fourth move slot, currently empty. Many guardians seemingly only have 3 moves, while some do still contain the standard 4 moves.

Lar's new ref is fiiinally done~ few changes, but not many!
Found a way to give him a shirt, and for the shorts, there's just two slits for his tail fins.

Since the island they live on now is a lot more tropical, or 'semi-tropical' as I like to say, they have lighter clothes and what not.
