So, last year I got extremely lucky while at Dragoncon and came across Stephanie Gladden's table! She was doing sketch commissions and I consider myself very fortunate to have had her draw for me.
When at conventions I keep a notebook with references of most of my crew so that I can get traditional work done. One thing I tend to do, though, is rather than pick a character I ask the artist if any of my characters/creatures strike their interest more than another. This led to Stephanie picking Tamp, courtesy of this piece http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23525182/ as the main reference.
I plan to hit up the con again this year and I hope to see her again, if only to say thanks once again for such an awesome sketch, though I hope to see her draw another one of my crew.
