1. Challenge: The opposing guardian dragon will bow it's head to the Alpha, the Alpha will most likely growl or snarl in response to this.
2. Acceptance: The Alpha would graze it's horns against it's opponent accepting their challenge.
3. Combat: The two will fight until the opponent removes the Alpha's horns or gives in.
4. Victor: The winner then eats the horns of their opponent and the nutrients inside then make their horns grow overnight. The greater the length of the Alpha's second tip the more battles they have won.
Alphas have two tips on their horns which helps single them out among other dragons.
This Alpha has won a few battles, the second tip closer to the root of the horn is more than jutting out.
Female Guardian dragons can also partake in these challenges, but as their horns are curved backwards they are more difficult to remove, however the males are stronger than the females.
