So I'd made a partial for myself back in March for Furnal Equinox (only taking photos... three months later...).
It was my first time making a fursuit of any type! Was a lot of fun, and a huge learning experience. There's a lot I would change in the future xD; Like making the head smaller.
The eyes were supposed to be covered in a clear dome, but I couldn't find the thick clear vinyl recommended in kemono tutorials, and there was no time before the con to figure something else out. So they just got covered in flat, clear acrylic. Next time!
I also made a fatal rookie mistake of... forgetting about a little thing called "needing to breathe". There's a hole in the beard, and I'd cut a slit along the mouth (which just ended up getting covered in fur). It wasn't enough lol. But the head base is made of Worbla, so now that I have photos for posterity, I can risk ruining it and try and heat it up to open the mouth. The head's unwearable for more than like 5 min as it is, anyway.
The hoof gloves are foam cut to shape, with Minky fabric on top. The hoof shoes are EVA foam, and they strap on to heeled boots with elastics, and velcro up the back, so I didn't ruin any shoes.
I've still got a lot to learn but I'm seriously considering getting into fursuit partials (don't really have the house space to deal with a lot of full suits). Thankfully I have multiple personal projects lined up to practice on ;3
