I made this for Animazement, but sadly I was too anxious to take it out. My idea was to be a counter focus to the religious protesters who always stand around outside there, but for one thing it was crazy humid, and when I had been planning to do it, another congoer was getting into an altercation with them, so I felt safer leaving it for another time. The reaction to this photo on Facebook and Twitter has been overwhelming, and such a confidence boost. It's given me the faith in myself that standing up for others isn't a worthless action. I believe in love for myself and others, and the idea that everyone should feel safe to embrace the life that gives them safety, happiness, and meaning.
