Indeed, though my first thought is that the carry handle is gonna partially block your sight picture.

It's the angle.
The handle pivots so that when it's not in use it flops to the side to leave you with a clear sight picture.

Oh I know that. The carry handle on my FAL doesn't flop on it's own though. It stays at whatever position you put it at, like in the picture.
