Recently one of the dogs I pet-sit for developed serious health problems and had to be euthanized. He was a fairly young dog, so it was all the more devastating for his family. (At least when it's an old pet you sort of expect the end. Still a painful loss, but you're more prepared for it.)

I drew this to include in the sympathy card I mailed his family.
