This was for a contest that has since ended over on Deviantart. The challenge was to draw an action scene featuring at least one of the Mane 6.

Anywho, I knew going in I was going to draw either Rainbow Dash or Apple Jack. The more I thought on it though the more I figured that AJ doesn't get enough love, so it'd be super neat to draw her shining for once! Also, since the requirement was an action scene, I immediately thought of that changeling battle scene from the Canterlot Wedding two-parter
