Bracelet I made. Modified birdacage, with the large diameter rings in aluminum and the smaller ones in titanium. Big, attractive and astonishingly lightweight.
I have to figure out how much it'd cost to ship one of these.

Thanks! Came up with it completely at random; the aspect ratio of the aluminum won't allow a flexible full byzantine, so i modified ti with smaller links. You're right, the links could be dyed fairly easily, I just have to look in one of my books and see what I need. I think it would be interesting to offer these in different colors, but I have to find some more of that aluminum wire. I'm almost out!
Any idea where I can get 6-7 strand aluminum conduit? XD

To dye aluminum oxide, you degrease it with a hot detergent solution, then place in hot dye solution until the color is deep enough. Purpose grown anodized oxide films allow more control of the process.
Aluminum cable of that size is widely used for local power distribution from the pole pig transformer to the home. Scrap yards and used building supply yards are good places to get it. You might also drop by the repair yard of your local power company and see if they will give you a couple of feet of scrap aluminum cable - bring your bracelet along to show to them.
