Gojiro7 involving my little run in with reflekta.
Reflekta had turned all of Paris on its head, hundreds now bearing her likeness; all thanks to the powers granted to her by the villainous Hawk Moth. Unfortunately for him, Reflekta had used her powers to turn him into yet another of her countless doppelgangers. Infuriated by his transformation, Hawk Moth swore vengeance against the latex clad harlequin for her betrayal, only to be laughed away. “Mellow out, 'Sister'; now that you're one of me, you're just another face in the crowd... and soon enough so will everyone else! And no one will be left alone again!!" The harlequin continued to laugh, until her boasting was halted by the recomposure of the once Hawk Moth. He slowly walked towards her, a snide smile on his face, “Oh, I may have your likeness, my dear, but in case you forgot, appearence is only skin deep. I'm still myself in my mind, and no amount of clown paint will change that.” The doppelganger's snide remarks struck a chord within Reflekta, leaving her speechless as she realized just how little her mission was truly accomplishing. Strained from the realization, she continued to be prodded by him. “The power of the Miraculous is mighty, but it only goes as far as the user's determination. You'd need far more power than the fragment I GIFTED you to do what you oh so desire. It's quite the shame that you already changed Ladybug and Cat Noir... I'm sure their Miraculouses could have given you the power needed to truly make others into you... But I guess we'll never know now.” With a slight smug smile, the villain simply strolled away into the shadows, leaving Reflekta with a broken sense of purpose.
The rest of the afternoon Reflekta strolled down the crowded streets full of reflektas, All none the wiser as to the true identity of the despondent passerby. She saw them all still have the same personalities they had before, same faces doing little to cause them to consider the person that was behind them. Despite the mighty power she held, it felt like nothing in the face of her goals. Her despair continued to seep through, she continued into the back alley of the market district, until she halted in front of a shop, attracted by a strange, chilling presence. Something about it drew her closer, entering the abandoned store, pulling ever closer to an abandoned, esoteric bottle. Something about it resonated with her, seemingly giving the same kind of feelings she got whenever she used her copy power. Uncorking the bottle, she felt a sudden pull as she found herself transported into the most ostentatious throne room she had ever seen. Gold, gemstone and decorative marble adorned all the room, as it was filled with rubbery pillows and a large, gel-like bed. In the center of the room gleamed a force that felt all too familiar. Seated in this spot was a singular bottle, a bright light shining down upon it. Reflekta knew there was magic at play here, likely the kind that could give her what she truly desired! She approached the bottle with her mind full of possibilities, her deep desire for everyone to be exactly like her... until she approached the bottle much closer, and the ominous chill rushed over her once more. She could feel it, but dreaded to turn, in order to see who stood behind her: the great Djinn, Hoffi, Mistress of this realm, and tormentor of mortals.
Hoffi's mere presence chilled the girl as she nervously reached for the bottle, fear for what may come overwhelming. Her desire for power was ample, though, as she truly desired to have the extra ability she needed. She reached out for the bottle, gripping tight, hoping for the best. “My my, it seems we have a little thief about my lair, don't we?” The djinn smirked, as the girl turned about. She looked upon the appearence of the one who was addressing her, a massive, cruelly smiling, rubbery djinn! “I already know why you're here, and I can tell you, I love it. The power to torment and subjugate other mortals is the most noble of causes... not to mention all this rubber is trez chiq... so I'm going to give it to you!"” The djinn smirked as she blasted the harlequin with a bolt of her own rubbery energy. She could feel her body surge with force, as her Akumatization power was amplified to intense levels, an intuitive knowledge of her ability to now change the minds of others as well now in place. She could only smile as she realized the djinn was not done. “But you need more, to be a true tormentor... a master to compel and direct that power... and seeing as how I have the free time, I could show you the ropes, Ohohohoho!” the Djinn smirked, readying another bolt of energy. In a panic from the djinn's aggressive excitement, the newly empowered girl fired off a beam from her Duplication mirror and interrupting the djinn's casting. In a flash, the girl's appearance crept over the djinn... but not in the way that was expected. The bright light dissipated, the powerful djinn Hoffi had been given a makeover, shape matching refleka's. However, her body body's colors had remained, still reflecting the cruel entity's true self. She look angrily down at Reflekta and shouted “You... you impudent fool! You dare turn the great power I granted to you against me? For that, you will pay dearly!” The djinn smiled as she realized just how this change had altered her, readying her 'Duplication' beam at the harlequin.
Reflekta tried to run, but a sweeping force suddenly overcame her entire body, the ground slipping from her feet as she was lifted into the air. The beam hit her form, this time the energy feeling much more chilling as every inch of her body changed in color; like a wave washing over, her colors shifting to be like that of her punisher. Her legs quickly locked together as she could feel the sense of touch between them dissipate. In the rush, it seemed as if they were swelling expanding at the hips, almost as if forming a djinn's tail, much like the one her 'benefactor' had. Her body grew stiff and rigid as her hands remained pressed together in front of her chest. A force welled between them as a mirror grew in size between them, her hands reflexively twisting to grip them, fingers mittening into singular, rubbery masses. Reflekta tried to speak out but the transformation quickly coursed over her face giving her only enough time to say "I am Hoffi the great!", smoothing away her features and leaving nothing but a smooth round drone face. Reflekta was now another drone in Hoffi's collection but one that now looked and thought exactly like her new master. Hoffi was still stuck with Reflekta's partial likeness, the boosting effect of her own power rendering it much too strong to overcome. However, its energy synergized with her power, amplifying it further than before. Hoffi was surprisingly ecstatic about her beautiful body, as she turned her attention toward the motionless drone, its only purpose in life now to hold up a mirror for the Djinn's self-indulgence. She couldn't stop looking at herself as slowly, bit by bit, her thoughts of her old self began to change... she was quickly growing fond of the new look and found her new face gorgeous. As time passed, it became clear that even as little more than a drone, Reflekta did get her wish... but not in the way she wanted. Her wish to turn all others into one had been granted; however, it was not Reflekta's that would be the face of the world, but the mighty Djinn Hoffi as the original Hoffi now had desires to make all others look and think like her. Her mind had taken far longer than any mortal's due to her rubbery resilience, but eventually it had given way, changing to reflect her new look. She now wished to turn all others into beautiful Hoffi drones, much like herself. Summoning her collection of Drones, she changed them all in one fell swoop, leaving every single drone identical to the mirrored Hoffi Drone that had once stood alone. Truly robbed of what little of their former identities was left; what was once Reflekta was now indistinguishable from the rest of the Hoffi drones, lost in a sea of Hoffis. The djinn enjoyed her new company, for soon she'd need it when she returned to the outside world full of mortals needing a new look on life... HERS. the end.
