Don't you see, my sweet youth?
Heir of love and hope;
Heir of love and light
that you can do anything.
Travelling in the tear of fall,
In the breath of spring;
In the strong arms of winter,
in the chilly stare of the summer.
My effusive youth,look;
A hand shows you the way to immortality.
(Extract of the poem this was created for. This was normally a greek one, so if it is seeming quite inconsistent or weird, it's because of translations)
This pic is something i did for a friend out of a collection of 10 poems she gave me. this is the first one, Youth. I was thinking what to do with this for quite a while. The girl character I did for this poem I wanted to have some kind of thing to show the significancy of youth, which lots both despise and love. I wanted to show through coulours and expressions how most people like to see growing up. Naivety and purity, which slowly gets filled with more passion, losing the purity they have and the passion lessening even more as it goes, till you got only negative feelings with little passion and even less purity.
I would like to think that even though this is quite stereotypical, that there are a lot of people who also accept the joy they had at their youth, even at their old days. And I know there are. So I hope not all follow this stereotype, and that you still have the youth you had in your young days.
