I dunno why, but you reminded me of Final Fantasy Legends III on the Gameboy, where you can get the Excalibur, Muramasa, Masamune, Durend, and Defense swords. Like the best weapons of all time known to man in any fantasy game. And anyone can wield them, although you need this chick Faye in your party to withdraw the Excalibur, which is pretty cool that a female is the only one who can have the power to take the legendary sword.
