So with MYO season in effect, one of the things we wanted to do was make a little step by step guide for folks about the process complete with some little comic panels. Following the adventures of Jean as they attempt to make their first MYO stardragon.
The guide itself (which is more in-depth than this comic) can be found for the ToyHouse folks at This Spot. Here's basically a collection of all the little panels with word commentary. Hopefully it can be useful for folks!

Oh. I see.
You cannot apply Dasher traits to Sweepers, etc. You cannot give mossy fins to a Shooter born to a Kelpie Dasher and a Shooter. You can however show interspecies lineage genealogy for fluff levels and fur length, since these are not traits and have no rarity. Fluff it up.
So no mixing different rarities of anything across species. So if I get lucky enough to win a Shooter and a Robber, if I wanted to make a Shooter-Robber, I could have a Robber with Shooter features that are anything less than green, and Robber traits of whatever rarity I like, they're just a Robber now, with some basic Shooter characteristics.
Which still doesn't fully answer whether I can make a Shooter-Robber with Alexandrite. Since it's not rarity locked, signs point to yes?
This is a very complicated species, and I'm loving exploring it, even if I don't win one. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to win one. But it's still fun exploring the options.
Also, I'll be at a convention this weekend, I'll try to keep an eye out on Saturday for the raffle winners being announced.

We have StarDragon hybrids that you can only get through purchasing from Raptorslut or Deletethestars ! Or Cloneclone if Cloneclone ever decides he wants to hate himself and try his hand as the designing portion of the job.
Robbers, while the product of the death of the other species, were created by the Gods to be their own species. So Robber's gems and eyes would still have to match- meaning, both eyes and gem must be one color. We're considering making it so the idea you have in mind is possible as long as the eyes and gem both look the same, but as of right now, it's not (Unless you're playing a Shooter, they're the only outlier with that rule here)
Also! Once the Rare/Uncommon raffle is over, we'll be hosting the common MYO. We do the Rare/Uncommon raffle before tho so people get to know if they won the Rare/Uncommon they want so they know if they'll be buying a common or not.
The StarDragons are pretty damn complicated, we definitely agree there aahahah. But thus the price we pay for having 8 different races beneath the 'StarDragon' title. Along with all the copious amounts of lore and varying traits we give due to majority vote from the community 0w0

as far as design goes, I'd prefer to know my limitations, and work within them, because I know from way too many years playing RPGs, once I add something to a character, picking something to take off feels like removing a finger, if not a hand or an arm, even if it's the third hand on the fifth arm. Metaphorically speaking.
If I don't win the raffle, are those hybrids also raffle to purchase, or may I simply demand to shut up and take my money? Again, metaphorically speaking.
The reason I feel it should be possible is, take a random shooter. One of the ones from your main infographic with eyes that don't match a gem. They die, become a Robber. How do their...everything, get changed? Is there an ijnfographic on that? Or at the very least, an article? Just by the nature of what the StarRobbers are, it would make sense to have that outlined. Like I noticed no baby StarRobbers on your infographic. That's a whole other kettle of fish I won't get into here.

The chimeras are actually a bit of a recent thing in the group so at the time there isn't much of a pay to purchase option for them. Mostly because we're still trying to get a good feel for them so don't want to release too many into the circulation pool. In a sense chimeras are probably the rarest type of stardragon to get in the group along with legendaries.
As for robbers, we are working on a big lore docket regarding the afterlife process of the stardragons, but that is one of the things that is still very WIP. Essentially when a stardragon dies, they are brought before the god Helgin who judges them. The majority pass on to heaven (though those who are deemed unjust are forced to pay penance by being spirits that assist the gods) but occasionally if a death is considered unfair or if Helgin feels they are deserving of a chance to right their wrongs...he transforms them into a starrobber. And since the starrobber is essentially made after Helgin's own image, they shed the aesthetics (and in some cases even memories) of their former life. So while they may have been a crafter or a dasher or a shooter in a former life, they are now basically reincarnated into an entire new species.
From a non-lore standpoint, this is also because it would be unfair to have the chimera/hybrid option be so difficult and exclusive to all the races but one. Much like how even the shooters must follow the gem-cut rarity guide even though they no longer are dependent on their lifegems...robbers also must abide by the no hybrid unless someone attains a chimera rule.

It sounds like the way they change then is by God Magic reshaping their corpse. While it's not the answer I really like, I do see the reasoning behind it, and it also has enough weight behind it to actually explain a fair bit of it. The one thing I want to know is which overrides which, eye color, or gem color? Do the eyes become the gem color, or do the gems become the eye color?
How would I be able o get a Chimera or Hybrid? Is that Legendary? Or something else?

Nothing really overrides anything? It's just how they're born. Like being born with black hair. I mean we could get into dominant or recessive genes, but im but a humble mortician making a weird closed species and don't really want to sit down and teach myself the logistics just to figure out what exact chromosome figures what haha.
And as I said, you get chimeras/ hybrids via purchasing them from Deletethestars, raptorslut, or myself. Legendaries pop up seldom either via purchase from those mentioned, or freebie raffles during the StarDragon myo. We currently have two raffles for legendaries going on.

I'm starting to think I shouldn't've bought that Common Robber, or is there a way to purchase a Hybrid upgrade? And I didn't notice any Hybrids for sale currently, or am I just missing something?
Also wondering which artists you know of that would draw a NSFW reference for a StarDragon. From what I've seen, they all have humanoid genitalia.
A mortician? I'm intrigued. I have no idea what questions to ask though, so I'll leave that at that.
Also, before I get anything done past the ownership of the different rarities, I want to see if I'll be lucky enough to win a Legendary. I'm not holding my breath, but maybe I'll get one. We'll see.

If you bought a common slot, they can be any species! Do you mean uncommon or rare?
Raptorslut usually opens for customs once a month, but due to family death and moving, they've been a little slow. Deletethestars has taken a hiatus from StarDragons due to their medical situation so it's mostly through Raptorslut. Hybrids aren't a common thing to get your hands on but we're trying to make them more available. That being said, we VERY RECENTLY added them, so it's a slow process.
If you're in our Discord, we have a room where you can ask people for NSFW references, but I know Raptorslut does NSFW refs once they're open. Cuddlycuttlefish does good refs as well. We don't have any canon StarDragon genitals though! Some people prefer humanoid genitals, some people (like me) prefers a wiggly tentacle deal with a vaginal like opening beneath it if that makes sense. Think Homestuck, if you've ever been in the Homestuck fandom lol. Someone else gave their Dasher a horse dick, and another their Eater with a dog dick so really the skys the limit.

I haven't seen the link for your discord yet, but I'll admit I haven't been looking for it. I'll get on that now.
I think I've seen a little homestuck...oh, I saw the thing JSE played on his youtube channel last year, with the aliens. *searches* Hiveswap. but that's about it so far.
I think I'll definitely be in the market for a custom hybrid once I get my two Shooters done. That being said I saw that bit about how you're working on twins stuff. Wow, I'm hitting all the spots with incomplete lore. Not intentionally, I guarantee, I just keep finding obstacles in the plot holes where I expect content. I'll start with my twins are identical, except one of them has more of a proficiency with magic over the other one. And the reason one has extra eyes and not the other one is an early mutation in the genetics, but after they split. Or maybe something happened toone growing up that didn't happen to the other one. it could even be a complete mystery to all parties involved, sometimes these little things happen to twins as they grow up.
I knew twins when I was a kid, and never could tell them apart, or in grade school or high school, my class had two sets of twins and some triplets, but as adults, I met a close friend's twin when she visited for a week, and could easily tell them apart. and yeah, those two are identical, except one still lives in Harlem, and the other is where I am in Wisconsin.
