They should be able to tell he's not a demon from his lack of self preservation; if he didn't try to talk, they'd still be arguing, distracted, and less likely to tear off nonessential body parts... while he plotted a way out.
I have a feeling that we're going to see more than his blood shortly. I wonder if he'll have his first soul. Do the Angels habe souls, or do they sign them away as a part of their contracts?

The dialog sound a bit off on this page, specifically the "Me.. for what..." and "I'm anything...". I'm guessing that it might be closer to "Why me?" and "I'm not...". Note: I'm just making suggestions not trying to nitpick :3
