WARNING: Boring mundane stuff...
Another shot from my room showing off the redeco, namely the closet with the faux Shoji Screen we created. Sorry about the blurriness of the shot btw.
I'm rather proud of the look of the doors. White matte and black gloss furniture paint was used on a pair of old slab doors to create the Shoji-screen look on the closet doors. White was applied over the doors in two coats to give it the look of rice-paper and strips of thin wood molding were painted with a black gloss then glued to the surface of the door to create the appearance of a screen. The doors were finished off with a pair of handles from Lee Valley.
If you are curious what sort of books are peeking out on the bookcase on the right side, the top shelf has art reference books, the next shelf down has my AD&D manuals (mostly 1st Ed. btw), the third has various SF RGPs (Trek, Car Wars, B5, and Albedo). That shelf with the purple books is my White Wolf shelf (mostly Mage books as you can see). No doubt a number of folk can figure out that the shelf below has Sluggy Freelance treasuries along with Bloom County, Doonesbury, Bruno the Bandit, Sabrina Online, and Kevin & Kell books. The bottom shelf there has several Asterix books and the staw box contains copies of Dragon and Renaissance magazine
