Chrono doing some tricks. He is vigilant warden of the elemental balance. He can use Fire, Water, Air and Earth Power to maintain the order of cosmos. He can sometimes even manipulate time when necessary[rarely use that one because it is quite dangerous]. But it always depends on the situation.
