The ruler is just to show how small this Windows tablet is.

I originally used a laser cutter to engrave a sketch onto the back. It looked pretty bad but it was experimental.

For this I cut the inverted lines of the pattern into matte black to cover over the not so good engraving and logos and such that were in the way, then used a piece of green behind that to add the color. It worked out pretty well.

I pretty much just used a threshold filter to separate the lines and colors, along with a bit of cleanup so it would look better in lines only form.
