(I don't mean to keep naming my uploads after Oasis titles, they just work lel)
Lately, I've been feeling a little low with all the depressing news.
First there was the attacks in Manchester the other week, then just last saturday, more people were killed in London. Living in England, we don't get as many attacks as, say, America, but to think that we have to raise our threat levels to critical is upsetting. Around this time last year marks the shootings in Orlando, and only this week more people have been shot and killed in Orlando once again.
I try so hard to be optimistic. When someone gets scared over things like this, I'm the one who says 'hey, it could happen anywhere, so don't let it get to you!' I try not to get too upset by the news, because honestly we could die any day - I could die tonight. I could die tomorrow. I could die next week. Who knows? So I don't let terrorist attacks and bombings get to me because I don't want to live my life in fear.
But it's so hard lately. The whole world seems to be hurting. A day after the Manchester attacks, the local radio played Don't Look Back in Anger in tribute, and oh my god I teared up. I know we're strong, and I know that there are plenty of great people and good things about life, but to think there are also so many people who could be so cruel, so hateful...
I don't feel safe anymore.
