I saw many long tailed tits here in Spain. I even found two nests, the first one was abandoned and i had the chance to touch it..probably one of the softest things out there! I get the feeling they make their tiny nests from spider web and soft feathers woven together. It feels like a plush toy when you touch it.
Second nest was so well hidden even if it was in plain sight, that only after several weeks I noticed the parent trying to feed it's chicks which were already pretty old.
