Here we have a real Townsend mole skull that I've dyed with black tea and spices to give it a rich 'just pulled out of the earth' coloration. The skull grasps a bronze skeleton key in its jaws and hangs on a dark copper chain with toggle clasp. Townsend moles are one of my favorite skulls - those wee insectivores have absolutely amazing teeth!
This piece is spoken for, but I have two other mole skull pendants available on my etsy.

*Now, about those skull candles...
Since last month I've been working on a new item that might please a few folks. I used to make scented candles as a hobby back in the day, and you know that that new fad of putting a surprise jewelry item in a candle? Well, how about a gothy black candle that has a real animal skull hidden inside it? =) I would make large deep black candles with woodsy and spicy scents using real extracts - sandalwood vanilla, clove and balsam, etc. Once you burn the candle down you'll find a plastic and foil wrapped package that contains a small fully processed and cleaned skull of unknown species. Sound like fun? But I have two important questions for my followers:
Should the surprise skull just be a plain white skull that you can do with as you please? (I may drill a tiny hole in the back so you can make it into a pendant yourself if you want.) Or should I mix it up? a tea and spice stained skull, a copper metalized skull, a skull necklace, etc. I'd love some opinions on the matter. =)
Most of the candles will be one size, but I may offer a couple jumbo 3 wick candles that contain a larger skull like a fox or opossum. Or I may offer 3 sizes - small, medium and large.
I am also looking at name ideas for these candles. Something playfully gothic, perhaps? Let's hear some ideas! If I choose your name idea I will thank you with a FREE skull candle! (USA only)

plastic inside a candle? is that a good idea? ;-3
interesting idea otherwise, I myself would probably prefer plain white skulls (also adds something to the "lost in an unholy ritual" feel that way) but that's because I'd like to "play" with them myself (and I'm from over-seas, so...)
