Should transgender be removed/replaced too? It's not a sexual identity, just as allies aren't. On those grounds, shouldn't they both be negligible groups? After all, how can you expect them to understand your pain and feelings? They're not like you, as you observed. It's nice to see the downsizing of the lgbt acronym though, rather than it be constantly expanding with even more made-up identities, co-opting a legitimate rights movement. This is the kind of thing they mean with the joke "All animals are equal, but some more equal than others."
I don't really see how anything I've said in any way construes downsizing the acronym. Transgender folx are absolutely queer. I'm sorry that it offends you that cisgendered allies are not queer! If you feel like reading up on the subject, though, here is a good article for you to check out~
