I got bored of bein' a dinosaur so I'm going to be a terrestrial squid monster for now.

I've actually had these monsters in various forms in my head for years. This is the first time I've ever been able to draw one anywhere near what I want them to look like. The feet are still messed up because JEEZ I am SO bad at perspective. I don't know how to get the toes to differentiate there. I just. I can't do it. I'm not an artist. I didn't bother to shade it because this is just a character reference. Just. Imagine it slimy ok.

But yay! This is mah new frusrona rararar. Her name is Nbifis. She is a schtatkal. It means "hopping animal" in their made-up language. They are named such because they hop! They stand on their tails when not hopping. They have sticky hidden tongues which are like proboscises which they use to digest and drink plants and peoples with. Their hands open up to reveal sticky suction cups. Their skin is also a bit sticky. They live in wet environments along rivers and swamps and bogs and lakes. Oceans are too salty and gross for their stickiness to be free to be sticky. stick stick stick.

She is a holy librarian and if I ever get around to writing stories for their universe (unlikely) they will all be through the conceit of Nbifis translating them into English. They're like. Communist Fascist Theocrats. It's fun. Basically whenever I get bored and daydream I flesh out their universe more. It's becoming bloated with boring trivia about the most mundane things I could write my own encyclopedia or whatever for their world. I'm such a geek. It's so bad. I gotta stop typing now. Okay GO.
