I wanted to test the newly emulated obscure features of the SN76489 (Sega PSG). When tested on emulators and real hardware, it just returns a lot of noise and crackling when the notes should sound. There's a possibility that this is actually possible to accomplish on the real hardware and maybe the sound drivers in console VGM players have some catching up to do, since PWM, custom waves and sample playback have been discussed in SMSpower.
