Stone Boy is a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes, a sort of emergency back up team for the Legion of Super-Heroes. Stone Boy's real name is Dag Wentim from the planet Zwen. His people have the ability to turn themselves into stone, but can't actually move once they do. They developed this power to go into hibernation during nightfall, which on Zwen lasts for six months.
