Hamtaaaaaaaaro~! :D
H-A-M-T-A-R-O
He's the star of every show
He should totally be in show business. :3 I love the goofy little notes they put on this.
The super powers segment is funny too. (: Hamsters are just full of awesome action and abilities you might not expect!
Two things I have to point out are the sharp eyes (they look more round to me) and how he has sharp teeth, but they don't show in the reference picture, hehe.
Super exciting! Than-Q for sharing. :3

Oopa! It's my pleasure, Oxnard. I bet you can guess what the other "Bio" is that will be forthcoming. ;) *cush-cush* Three to go!
I totally loved this book when I got it. I had such simple expectations when I got it from Amazon, but was blown out of the water when I saw how big it was and the amount of detail they put into it.
Based on how much detail went into this book, I can't help but to be sad at how Hamtaro didn't quite catch on here in the states. I mean, there are so few concepts out there that have such depth as Hamtaro did. It didn't seem all that involved, but the little fella had quite a world and his friends lead lives that went far beyond the club house. That's why I can proudly say that Hamtaro inspired me as a writer and, if ever asked, I will proudly state that it pushed me to develop much of my work over the years. Yup, yup, yup!

I'm glad you enjoy this special series of posts. Hamtaro was very under-appreciated when it came out and, well, I figured it only right to share some Ham-Ham love when I found that book I had purchased back in the day.
One more post to go tonight to finish the "Hamtaro Scrap Collection." Enjoy!

Lol thanks. You are right, it was very underappreciated. When I first saw the commercial that it was going to be aired on Cartoon Network I loved it and I wanted to watch it. I was sad when they took it off. That was one of the best shows they had to. <X3 Thanks for posting this. <:3
You're never too old for Hamtaro. Heck, if you think about it, isn't it grown-ups who make all the cute characters that kids are supposed to only like? In that case, being 31, I take no shame in being a huge Ham-Ham fan while adding to all that is cute and cuddly to the world through my haposaurs. :)
omgosh... omgosh...
I COMPLETELY miss this show. Arrrgh... It used to be one of my favorite things to watch in the morning (and at night!) and then... poof it was gone.
I also remember getting picked on for liking it since it was for little kids, LOL. I never cared, still don't!
When I improve my art and start posting, I'm DEF. doin' some fanarts!!
Adorable magezine. arrgh *fanrage*

I hear you all-the-way. Cartoon Network had it on for barely two years before they pulled the plug on it. Considering how many more episodes there were to show, and how it is supposed to end, I would've truly loved to have seen the rest.
The book this is from came out when the show premiered in 2002. I was 22 then and, since, I've been eternally hooked on Hamtaro. It's actually how I met one of my best friends on here.
Long live Hamtaro! Whether it be art, or re-runs, or DVDs, we'll always love the world's cutest hero. :)

And quality nostalgia at that.
The book this was from is totally amazing in the serious degree of depth they put into it. I don't think such depth has been done for a show of this nature up until the recent My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic release. Noting that it has been 11 years between the Hamtaro and MLP: FiM guides.
