Infinity Quest Armors (1)
Okay so... this is kind of a big thing for me as I'm kind of holding my heart in my hands with this one. I know it's not furry related, but ever since I was 12 (which has been 13 as of the uploading of this picture here) I've been working on an original science fiction series called Infinity Quest. For 13 years I've worked on the universe from the ground up doing world building, mapping, culture and history studies, making everything as perfect as I can. I plan to have the first book on what I hope is a long running series finished and released by the end of this year. I'll be bringing a copy of some of the chapters to Megaplex this year for the writer furs meeting. I've been really nervous about uploading any of the stuff here because I didn't know if anyone would be interested in it. But it's something really special to me and it's something I really wanted to share! I tested the waters a few months back when I uploaded this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22980939/ which paired my original species the Yogl with the ever talented
Valsalia 's Yinglets, and it seemed to get a decent response.
So, here's a piece of that universe, and I really hope you guys enjoy it. If this goes over well I'll try to upload more in tandem with my usual furry stuff with Jyoo C and the rest of the Gang from Pelican's bay; so don't worry, I won't be moving away from them or my fur work. Now without further adieu, here's some information about them:
===========================================
Terror V Moderate Plate Armor: Ryvgaar Armories' state of the art Terror (v5) Moderate Plate armor is perhaps one of the most popular armor sets available for both army and specialized civilian usage with a Level 5 Permit. Boasting a hardy composite style design, the Terror V has formidable armor where it counts without compromising speed or maneuverability. Easily modifiable, the Terror V excels in both situations where finesse is required, and when shock and awe feats of brute force are preferred. For instances when assisted armors or Exosuits are too pricey to keep or maintain, it's very difficult to find a better performing armor than the Terror V Moderate Plate Armor Set.
Raszegade Padded Armor: While archaic looking by modern standards, the Raszegade Padded Armor was well renown in the United Cultural Acceptance Species Commonwealth (UCASC) 300 years ago whereupon it was first released. The Gothic styling common to the time inspired the fearsome looking appearance married with a purely functional design. Originally commissioned by the Bullstuug Militia, 100 years before humanity had become a member species of the UCASC, after territory disputes with unaligned species when the Bullstuug clan broke off from their native government, the armor soon gained it's most notably prominence when it was adopted by Mercenaries and often militia groups looking to challenge the UCASC. While not boasting the brute strength of Assisted Armors or Exosuits, the suit possessed reactive fabrics on par with UCASC Navy Uniforms of the era which often led to a confidence in some to challenge them. A Neural Command key allowed for rapid use of integrated weapon systems, the utility gauntlet (feat. right arm), the electric compliance glove (feat. left arm), and a suite of tracking, targeting, and scanning equipment in the helmet. After the uniform upgrades following the Dynarian Cluster war however, the balance was restored to the favor of the UCASC and the opportunistic attempted "policing" factions gave way and the armor fell out of use. Now relegated to collector shops or second hand stores, the armor isn't completely unusable for a skilled user.
Ko-Ton Assisted Light Armor: Released with little fanfare, the Ko-Ton Assisted Light Armor is a common sight in colonial circles. While not directly geared for combat, the Ko-Ton Assisted Light Armor's primary goal is survival. The armor is outfitted with an assisted gel layer that amplifies natural movement and allows the wearer to maintain constant strength and balance no matter the gravity of the planet they're exploring. Sporting the signature impact Cape of the Kozeekii Designs Corporation and given a large shield on the back which can be quickly drawn, the armor is best suited for exploration and defending the wearer long enough to withdraw from combat. However, with its superior maneuverability it isn't completely unheard of for some Mercenaries to adopt it for more stealth oriented approaches.
