Specimen #258, otherwise known as "Opticoids", are a semi-sentient native form of life on the planet Z49X3A, or "Hulara". One of the creatures was captured and dissected once it landed, and it was discovered that their internal organs consist of little more than a breathing sack and a very large gastric cavity. Shortly after being closed back up, the specimen snatched two of the three doctors in the room, and proceeded to seemingly start swallowing them whole through it's tendrils. Only one of the captive doctors was able to be rescued, as the other one had already been deposited inside the Opticoid's stomach, in order to be prepped for digestion. Plans were initially made to rescue the consumed doctor before she could be digested, but they were dropped upon some of the researchers deciding to watch the digestion process, in order to learn more about the creatures. It took several days for Dr. [EXPUNGED] to be fully liquified, at which point, her remains were then fed into the creature's intestines, where she was later excreted as a black, oily substance which turned out to be the creature's feces. It was determined that it contained a fairly high amount of radiation, making the creature deadly even to bystanders who didn't get consumed. There are only 4 in captivity at this time, but there has been multiple reports of monoculus creatures attacking people in areas such as [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]

If you see one of these creatures near your home, do not engage them. Get as far away from it as you can. The creatures' tendrils can stretch for up to a mile, so over a mile should be far enough. If a friend or loved one is being attacked and/or consumed by one of the beings, do not attempt to help them.
