face down when they sleep; face side to have only one wing that may be uncomfotable.
Sleep normaly, on a really soft bed?
the part that is touch to the body...I don't really know it, but I think that part of bone is really hard.
So just sleep on a soft bed won't really make them feel pain.

PS: For some fantasy or advanture stories, winged species don't really sleep on a bed.
