Brittany nodded, snuggling a little closer to Nathan as he talked. It was fun, listening to him ramble on about stuff she neither understood nor cared very much about. A passion and confidence in his voice she didn't always hear was nice as he passionately tried to guide her through space. She didn't have the heart to tell him she didn't even know where the big dipper was, the landmark that Nathan kept trying to use.
"How do you know so much about stars?" Brittany asked, changing the subject to something she enjoyed and understood much better, Nathan.
“It is just fascinating to me. 'The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.'”
"Looks like I do have a little philosopher after all." Brittany smiled, squeezing the mate in her arms, slightly surprised to hear Nathan say something so profound."
"That is from Carl Sagan." Nathan blushed under his coat, a little embarrassed by his gushing girlfriend.
"Who?" Brittany asked innocently.
"You don't know Carl Sagan is!" Nathan spluttered, but stopping himself when he saw the wide, teasing grin crossing the the redhead's muzzle. "Very funny." He snorted.d, snuggling a little closer to Nathan as he talked. It was fun, listening to him ramble on about stuff she neither understood nor cared very much about.
