It's Mother's Day in France !
OK OK, this drawing is faaaar from being perfect : I fucked up Blaze's shade of of green (BECAUSE I REVERSED THE ORDER OF COORS TO USE), Griddle's left arm is smaller and Flame lacks of eyebags. But I still like how it came out. This is the first time I draw a full-body picture of Queen Griddle (it's official, she became one of my favs. Which means I have too many favs help), Sir Blaze's feather, helmet and other stuff are finally orange instead of red as I used to draw them, and I like how his and Princess Flame's poses came out and how everybody's facial expressions look like. Sweet.
It's been a moment I wanted to draw that and waited for Mother's Day for that. I have also another Mother's Day comic idea but it will be for next year ;)
I just love how despite all her flaws, Queen Griddle is a very good (if not over-protective it's true) mother to Sir Blaze but also her step-daughter Princess Flame. How many cartoons, ESPECIALLY comical cartoons, showed a good recomposed family ? This cartoon existed years before P&F ! They both have a daughter-mother relationship as she probably raised her as Flame's mother probably died as she doesn't seem to remember her. Aaaaaaaaw.
