I haven't posted a plant for a whole week! So here's one. This is a type of bromeliad called a Vriesea. It's distantly related to pineapples!

Also pictured here is my cat Kali, who has a thing for plants. She's eaten pitcher plants, aloes, and anything else I leave within reach except my split rock plants, I think she hasn't figure out that they're plants and not stones. :D She has catgrass, but apparently wants variety in her diet, or something.

I shooed her away right after snapping this photo, but not before she took a bite out of it. So is this a vore photo? XD
