This was NOT emulated, nor created on a modern computer.
I made this image after typing in 2 pages of program into my Tandy colour computer II. TRS-80 CoCo2. circa 1982/1984
due to the fact that I cannot save this computer generated image as a file that would be compatible with anything today, I had to take a picture of it.
XD enjoy my cruddy 80's TV monitor!

there is no file extension...
you record the program data via cassette audio tape.
then you load the program and in the program it memorizes the moves.
this was before there were file extension types.
especially with this program.
imagine this... in order to use paint, you had to type in and program paint itself every single time you turned on your computer.
that's what this is.
you may want to google "greenscreen tandy startup"
virtually that's the OS.

um...
currently I have no way to put it on a cassette...
and this machine was made before hard drives existed.
so basically I use all 16k (yes, that's 16k total memory! that's smaller than a jpg!)
on about one picture.
so ..
in order to use my program I have to constantly have the computer on, and I cant do anything else with it unless I want to delete the one program on it.
it's got about the same processor speed as a normal calculator.
anyway...
it took me several hours to produce this pic, and the only way I could save it would be by taking a picture.

um... no it would either take a 12" floppy disk (dont have the disk drive)
or...
a regular 'ol audio cassette...
ya know the ones you'd buy music on and play in the car?
the tandy would record the program as noise only the computer would understand, then use a regular 'ol cassette recorder to record.
you could pop it in your walkman and listen to the computer noises.
in fact, that's where dial tones and dialup consisted of... it wa basically an audio computer language.
