This past week our 31 day wind-up clock started playing up so I took it apart for a full cleaning and oiling. As I ran it without it's pendulum to make sure all was well I realized I had a photographic subject to do some macro work on.

Shot RAW using a Nikon Ring Flash adapter, hand held Speedlight with a gel and a huge Micro-Nikkor 105mm lens. Aperture was cranked WAY down to ƒ40 to get the depth of field I wanted. Slight shadow tweaks were made in Aperture (software).
