A sketch of Alex I drew last summer at a CAG meet and greet the public art jam we did at the Farmington Valley Arts center..a really nice place out in the country. We had a fun day and talked with a lot of folks who got the chance to watch us work on various projects and ask us questions about the process of creating comics.
I don't always save every little sketch and doodle, especially when they start to pile up, but I felt this one was too nice not to keep...I'm sure I'll eventually find a use for it and finish it.

Yes. Alex's mother was an American of Japanese descent. Her only relative, an Uncle, came to the U.S. and took Alex in hand when his mother died, taking him to live and study in Japan for some years, until he was about 17 or 18.His Uncle also took Alex traveling throughout Asia and Europe during this period.
Such a gentleman he is and the face really shows Alex in a very simple way.
I can only imagine what the husky is saying right now or doing... maybe seeking out a dangerous foe, concern over Denise, about to address a visiting delegate.
Maybe looking for where he parked the car... ^_^
Oh, yes I've had THAT look many a times.
