"Did you put your sunscreen on?" Nathan asked with a smirk as the two fur covered huskies climbed down from the truck and walked towards the lake.

Brittany rolled her eyes, never once her life had she put sunscreen on! But she couldn't help but giggle and wrap her arms around Nathan affectionally, much to happy be with her mate to be annoyed with him. Bad jokes and all! She sighed happily snuggling into his soft fur and feeling his strong toned body underneath, but with the sun beating down it was to hot to stay cuddled up for long.

They crossed onto the worn surface of the old dock, which creaked and protested under their weight, listing to the side as the large husky settled herself on the edge, the sun soaked planks feeling pleasant through the seat of her shorts while she sat down and dipped her footpaws into the water.

Finally!

Brittany had been looking forward to camping with Nathan... well since they started dating months ago! But this Memorial Day Weekend was the first time in forever that Nathan had time off work while the weather made a trip to the beach worthwhile. Three days. Three days to explore her favorite childhood vacation spot with her favorite person in the world! Nathan cast his line out into the water and Brittany closed her eyes for a minute, savoring the feeling of Nathan's presence and listening to his line cast out into the water.
